25th Anniversary of the Apple Mac

511px-macintosh_128k_transparency1 January 24th marks the 25th anniversary of the launch of the original Apple Mackintosh. The original Mac was the first in a long line of Apple personal computers which culminated in the range Apple sells today. I’ve been a Mac fan for years, starting with an original iMac, a couple of MacBooks (one of which Mrs F is now using) through to the new MacBook Pro on which I am typing this. I used something very similar to the machine pictured left at School, although that was actually an Apple Mackintosh SE which came along a few years later. Apple has diversified into mobile telephony, TV systems, music players etc, but the Mac range is at the heart of what they do, and hopefully will remain so for a long while to come – otherwise I will have to get a PC and I can’t imagine how depressing that would be!

Happy Birthday Apple Mac!
